Inter times.

It's been a while since my last textual contribution. Most of the time I tried to find an interesting "sujet" which is not completely belanglos, like some Germans would say.

Some time ago I was asked: Why the Inter(view) ? What is it that makes this place so "darn intresting" ?
I think there are a few reasons.

First of all it's situated in a crowded environment. The "Aldringer" is one of the few places in town that is, quite possibly, crowded at almost any time of the day. There's always movement and action going on, and alot of traffic. The "Aldringer" ain't exactly an international junction but it always has in and outgoing traffic. This partially explains the huge amount of people going to that place everyday. A huge amount of people usually means diversity which means a lot of different cultures, views and opinions. And that, in my opinion, is a great reason to be there.

On friday and saturday evening's for example, you can see a huge crowd standing outside the inter and occupying almost the whole street. This crowd is mostly composed of internationalschool-students.
On weekdays however, the inter is mainly populated by businessmen, by journalists and by artists. The latter staying considerably longer than businessmen.

It's clearly the people but it's also the place.

I dig that café américain style, the dusty and old athmosphere, the wooden furniture and the huge windows which are open during the summer. Besides, the music ain't so bad either which, clearly, is an argument in this town. Most of the time it's something like a Sinatra Best-Of played in loops all-day long which fits with the place. Not to forget that you've got wireless-access.

So much for my favourite bar.
